August Orser is an interdisciplinary creative producer. He graduated from Williams College with a degree in History, where he also studied film history and studio art.
August is the founder and creative director of ANTIGUANA, an AI-driven magazine blending art, science, and storytelling through fictional realism. He designs and directs its content and visual identity, treating AI as both a creative medium and a tool for building new forms of narrative expression.
He recently co-produced the Sundance-selected, Cleveland International Film Festival award-winning documentary Hoops, Hopes & Dreams, now acquired by Disney and Andscape. The film melds animation, archival footage, and talking heads to tell the untold story of how Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and civil rights organizers used basketball to inspire young voters—a strategy that echoes through politics today.
In addition, August is a producer and project manager for VISIBILITY Media Inc., where he serves as producer and editor across interview series, short-form videos, and branded video campaigns. He also leads growth strategy for both a cultural newsletter and the mobile game BLeBRiTY. Within the studio, he acts as the informal AI liaison—integrating generative tools wherever they provide creative or strategic value, from building new content pipelines for games to producing advertising copy and generated images, developing growth strategies, enhancing decks and visuals, and streamlining document workflows.
Embedded in all of August’s work is a deep commitment to collaboration and storytelling. He believes that resonant and timeless visual language is born out of the exchange, shaping, and refinement of ideas.
